But does your estimation match your actuals?

Sure, but my backlog is impeccably groomed.
It's funny how much character a few squiggles will give a comic.  My last week has been about backlogs, and they've been anything but impeccably groomed.  Trying to find enough work for several teams once you get ahead of the business is brutal.  And what you finally do settle on starts not to mesh with what they really want, or even what the company wants for overall projects.  But without the backlog, no one can speak to what's really left in flight.  Until recently, I'd just never given much thought to the idea that when the backlog starts to fall apart, it can have an impact on other projects and teams.  Seems obvious in retrospect, but it wasn't obvious as we rolled up to the car wreck.

Title: But does your estimation match your actuals?
Snarky: Sure, but my backlog is impeccably groomed.
