Don't you usually do that for me?

Your slide deck was fine. But you should have socialized first.
This was not my idea.  I have never heard of "socializing", at least in the context of an office setting and when referring to inanimate objects such as a presentation.  But apparently its a thing.  The fact that it is confirmed by MBA Jargon Watch (among others) must make it so.  Therefore I could not help but post about it.

Although it seems to be a term straight out of b-school I still have to wonder -- the cynic in me can't help it -- whether the term has been usurped by managers as a means to explain away their attempts at credit for the work of others (read: their employees) in a less obvious nicer way.

Snarky: Your slide deck was fine. But you should have socialized first.
